We have a business system that works for anyone having a sincere desire to grow a
substantial tax practice whether they have experience and training as a tax practitioner
or not. Even if you have no real back ground in tax preparation you can operate a
successful TAX DRx franchised business. A person with a background in book keeping
or accounting has some advantages getting started, but anyone with a good general
business background can find a great opportunity with TAX DRx.
Many things. We're looking for those that understand this is a unique opportunity. We
offer a combination of tax preparation and tax resolutions services, have a unique design
and layout to our offices and have complete systems and software from which you will
run your entire business. These systems will allow you to build and grow a tax business
that generates higher than average revenues than many other tax practices. All of these
factors together make TAX DRx different and special.
Our franchise fee is currently $24,500.00. We have discounts for anyone who is
already in the tax business. Other than the franchise fee, there are the usual expenses
associated with opening up a retail office including some basic furniture and computer
equipment and marketing and advertising which is very important. All of these expenses
are explained and set out in our Franchise Disclosure Document also known as the FDD.
Including the franchise fee you can be open in a TAX DRx office for less than $50K, in
many cases, much less.
The simplest answer is "NO". While many accountants specialize in tax, many do not.
There are established and respected organizations which offer courses and accreditations
in tax preparation to people of all walks of life. Some are accountants some are not.
What is important is a sincere desire to learn and understand tax and also be able to
follow our system. That is what a franchise is, a system. Anyone who likes to deal with
numbers and people has a definite advantage in our business so you don't have to be
an accountant, just a person who believes in themselves and wants to learn our great
business.
Enrolled Agent (EA) is a designation that is given by the US Department of Treasury.
Enrolled agents represent taxpayers before all administrative levels of the Internal
Revenue Service for audits, collections, and appeals- in other words, “Tax Resolution.”
TAX DRx encourages its franchise owners to become Enrolled Agents if they do not
already possess the designation. As an EA, you'll be able generate the maximum amount
of income from the Tax Resolution portion of the TAX DRx franchise system. For new
franchise owners that are not yet Enrolled Agents, TAX DRx has relationships with EA's to
assist in generating tax resolution income through a shared fee arrangement until the EA
designation is obtained by the franchise owner.
You can, but ultimately how successful will you be? Every year we attend the IRS shows
and meet many who have their own small tax practices, many of whom have been in
business for more the five years. Most of them work from home office or a small office
and process anywhere between 300 and 500 returns annually. Many have been, for lack
of a better word, "stuck" at this level for quite a while. One day, when it’s time to get out
of the business, most will be sadly disappointed when they realize that their "business"
does not bring a good price. Without branding and a business the makes money without
you doing all the work, you don't have a business; you “ARE” the business. At TAX
DRx we will teach you a better way and you'll grow a substantial tax preparation and
resolution business.
That's a good question, but the answer is pretty simple. The truth is almost all tax office
owners hit a wall in the way of growth. In addition to showing you how to make a nice
income in the Tax Resolution business, we can teach you how to really grow your tax
business by being able to process more returns and generate a lot more revenue. Many
sole tax practitioners work very hard for 4 to 6 months a year, and then make little to no
money for the remainder of it. When a person does all the work, they are the business
and they don't really run their tax businesses. Anyone in this position can only process so
many returns as they are doing the work themselves. In such a situation, their income is
limited by the hours they work. There are only so many hours in the day. We can teach
you a better way.
